Holiday House on Mallorca
The natural stone building from the 1950s had been expanded over time with annexes and outbuildings.
In the current renovation, the exterior shell was left largely untouched, while the interior was completely redesigned, creating a dialogue between the raw, material-focused interior and the building’s outer shell.Locally sourced sandstone, Marés de Santanyí, was used to craft the staircase, fireplace, and wall lights. The cement floor and roughly plastered walls share a nearly identical texture and seamlessly transition in color into the natural stone.
This consistent materiality allows the small rooms to flow into one another, forming a restrained and tranquil interior.
